Regatta
Regatta is IU Indy's annual homecoming event. We race canoes down the canal, crown Regatta Royalty, and many exciting events. Regatta volunteers help set up the race and ensure the race day and race practices go smoothly.
During my time volunteering at Regatta, I played a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the event. I assisted racers by helping them get into their canoes safely, ensuring they had the necessary lifejackets, and directing them to the correct starting areas. I also explained the race rules to participants, ensuring everyone was prepared and informed. Additionally, I helped unload and load canoes onto the canal, contributing to the efficiency and organization of the event. It was a rewarding experience being part of a dynamic team and supporting the racers in their journey.
